Get Packing, it's National Plan a Trip Day!

The year is 1/12 over already! It’s time to start planning your vacation for 2020 if you haven’t already. January 28th is National Plan a Trip Day! Not all of us are great at planning so a travel agent is a great way to get the perfect vacation within your budget. I asked Shelby Cummings, Owner of Brenna Travel for her best travel tips, tricks, and advice! You can book your 2020 vacation with Brenna Travel at www.brennatravel.com.

Why did you start Brenna travel?

I love to travel. It's the one investment that I never regret making and I always come back so refreshed, refocused and ready to conquer the world. A lot of people desire to travel but don't feel like they can afford it, don't know how to plan and book effectively, or just get overwhelmed at the thought of planning a trip. I started Brenna Travel as a way to create a travel community to assist others with booking their travel, but to also educate people on everything travel. We're not just your average, cookie-cutter travel agency, we're a travel tribe where you can share tips, book travel, and connect with other like-minded travel individuals. I'm so excited to help others book vacations that they'll remember for years to come. I started Brenna Travel so other people can experience a one of a kind travel experience they'll remember and cherish. Once you book one trip, you'll keep coming back to us for more.

What is your favorite destination?

I would definitely say Jamaica. The food was made and served from scratch, the culture was so lively, and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Where would you love to go that you have not been yet?

I'm currently planning a trip to Paris, France or Nassau, Bahamas for a week-long vacation in 2020.

Hotel or Air BNB? Why?

I would defiantly say a hotel or a resort. Unfortunately, Brenna Travel doesn't book Air BNB's for our clients for safety purposes. With a hotel or resort, you don't have to worry about anything, they take care of everything for you, especially if you go the extra mile to treat yourself and get an all-inclusive vacation.

What are the benefits of an all-inclusive vacation?

The huge benefit of an all-inclusive vacation is you get everything for one price: your hotel accommodations, food, drinks, flight and hotel transportation is included most times. It's the best way to go if you want to be as stressless as possible and just enjoy your time while on vacation.

Can you help accommodate excursions?

Yes, we can! Just let us know what type of excursions you would like priced, the day you want to do the excursion, and how many people we should price for the excursion desired. We'll then provide options for you to choose from and book it directly for you.

What is your biggest piece of travel advice?

I'm such a planner, so I would say having a plan, even if only a loose plan of how you want your vacation to go. If you're traveling with others, make sure you all are all the same page. The last thing you want to do is get out of the state and country and not have a game plan.

Also, to look up restaurants prior to going and save them on yelp or your notes in your phone. I save so much time when it's time to eat and I already have places picked out.

One more thing, to have a portable charger on deck at all times!

Can you help plan family reunions, bachelorette parties, or other large groups?

Yes, we have you covered! We can assist with planning and booking bachelor/bachelorette getaways, cruises, corporate travel accommodations, group travel, family travel, honeymoon packages, and solo travel. All you have to do is visit www.brennatravel.com, hit quote request and we'll follow up within 48 hours with a personalized quote.

What are your must-haves when packing?

My cell phone, a portable charger, headphones, a good pair of tennis shoes, a snack (LOL) and a backpack. Those are the things you won't ever see me without while traveling.

Quote to live by?

I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list.

Anything else you want to add?

A lot of people assume they can't afford travel. However, many people aren't aware that if your trip is a certain amount of time out, you can set up a payment plan and pay in installments. Your trip just has to be paid out 30 - 45 days prior to your vacation. If this is something you're interested in doing, email us and we'll curate a travel experience just for you on your desired budget.
